While all of the characters represented in these books are fictional - as are the locales - most of these stories are based to some degree on personal experiences or on persons and/situations who are quite real. After all, there is a little bit of mystery in all of us.

Burglar is a stage play watching the central character -- a burglar -- as he interacts with and affects a number of different couples and individuals.

As everyone knows, San Francisco is the most fictional city of all and certainly does not exist in reality. Still, philosophical considerations aside, San Francisco continues to pretend it exists. And, while not all of it is pretty. three of the following titles are set in fogs of the City By The Bay where Samuel Clements (Mark Twain) once confided "the coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco."

Being homeless isn't easy anywhere and being homeless in San Francisco isn't any easier. But, when one friend is stabbed to death and another is found floating in the Bay ... well, sometimes a bum has just got to do what a bum has to do in Buddy, Can You Spare A Crime.

Waking up dead is no joke ... especially when you have no idea who you were before you were killed. Further, just because the body has survived, A Death In Memory is no less a case of murder ... and deserves a unique revenge.

While he really isn't homeless, James MacPherson - a one-legged ex-police officer - has moved so many times, his friends on the force have dubbed his operation The Homeless Detective Agency. But, as the malefactors discover, even on one leg, Mac can run circles around the best of them.

Sometimes murder is done for profit, sometimes for passion. Some choose poison as their vehicle, others prefer a knife or gun. But, sometimes, as at the Craft Compound, there is also Handcrafted Murder.

A young man has acquired a strange talent but it is one which he can neither describe nor understand ... Further, while exploring his unexpected skills, Jeremy is haunted by a ghost ... who doesn't know what he wants ... and by a girl who can find anything ... except the words to explain. For each of them, the solution lies in finding A Warlock's Words.
