Unknown Device?
Windows is installing the software for my unknown device. Inspires great confidence, especially since it's been months since I've added any new hardware. I can't wait to see what's in store ... undoubtedly something will cease working now!

Yes, we've seen this before. The question we keep wondering is -- If this is an unknown device, how did they identify it? Another mystery from the Wizards of Windows (Go ahead, damn it -- JUMP!)
Of course, Steve isn't one to leave well enough alone and adds this addendum ...
I checked the Device Manager and found the unknown device, image attached. After farting around for 45 minutes, Windows finally agreed to re-install my modem. Great fun!

That sounds about par ... Tell me, Steve, have you ever considered moving up to a real OS? Like maybe BeOS 5.0?
