Resistance is futile
This one happened while I was trying to install the game Star Trek: Borg on a Compaq. After inserting the CD, the computer popped up a dialogue box that said:
You cannot install Borg because your system is not using Windows 95
I was. Even that wouldn't be so bad, if it wasn't for the fact that the Windows dialogue box itself, in the header, clearly stated Windows 95
As it turns out, I was running Windows 95B, and the programmers of the game had apparently not accounted for the possibility of different versions of Windows 95.
