Printer On Fire #2
I just been introduced to your error message page and suddenly feel the need to submit my all-time favourite message, although strictly speaking its not an error. It used to happen quite regularly on the old DEC Ultrix boxes at Uni; I can't remember whether it was "error" or "warning" (I think the latter) but the memory always makes me smile
"Warning line printer on fire"
This would happen whenever the dot-matrix printers would overheat, as they'd shut down for a few minutes so that the print head could cool.
regards,

We've seen this one before but it's easy to understand why John would remember this fondly.
We were also rather intrigued (amused) by the disclaimer accompanying the email missive. Obviously this was created by a legal beagle but we can only wonder at the naivety of anyone expecting this to be taken seriously.

Don't you think that anyone honest enough to comply with these demands would do so without being asked ... and vice versa? Ah weel, ah weel ...
