Explanation Required …
One error message
has appeared a couple of times on my Windows 98 computer. The screen goes blank
for about 20 seconds, and not even CTRL+ALT+DEL seems to work, suddenly it show
a white box in the middle of the screen, and it doesn’t even have a title bar!
The message says: "Error loading EXPLORER.EXE. You need to reinstall
Windows." It shows an OK button, but nothing happens when I click it. Then
I just reboot, and everything works fine.

And the reason there is no image should be obvious, right? Of course, a more accurate message might be: “You need to uninstall Windows” but that’s probably too much candor to expect.
