Identity Crisis? (#2)

Subject: Favorite "errormessage".

Or rather not an error message... Depends on your point of view.

Scenario: New machine, NT 4.0, Matrox Millenium Graphics card with supplied drivers and various programs.

The installation procedure of one of these programs apparently thought that a certain system DLL file had come with the program, so it happily removed it again when I removed the package.

Result:  Whenever I tried to start the file browser by clicking My Computer, a window popped up with a looking glass rotating over the icon and the text:  "Windows is looking for Windows...  [Cancel]".

Unfortunately I couldn't figure out how to copy it to the clipboard...

I think you can definitely call this an error … and perhaps an identity crisis as well …
