Crisis? (#2)
Subject: Favorite "errormessage".
Or rather not an error message... Depends on
your point of view.
Scenario: New machine, NT 4.0, Matrox Millenium
Graphics card with supplied drivers and various programs.
The installation procedure of one of these
programs apparently thought that a certain system DLL file had come with the
program, so it happily removed it again when I removed the package.
Result:
Whenever I tried to start the file browser by clicking My Computer, a
window popped up with a looking glass rotating over the icon and the text: "Windows is looking for Windows... [Cancel]".
Unfortunately I couldn't figure out how to
copy it to the clipboard...

I think you can
definitely call this an error … and perhaps an identity crisis as well …
