Further Error Submissions

While the original Error Message Contest sponsored by O'Riley & Associates ended August 15th, 1998, the submissions (and comments, corrections and quibbles) have just kept coming.

Therefore, I will continue to host the Error Messages web page and I will continue to welcome additional submissions. After all, there are lots of bad, funny or simply confusing error messages out there.

And, if it becomes possible to repeat this contest at some future time, all submissions will be entered automatically.

So, whether you simply want to let off some steam, vent your frustration with a particularly annoying message or share something you find funny, send your favorite error messages to Ben Ezzell or drop by my website at www.ezzell.org.

Besides, by calling attention to bad error messages, just maybe – eventually – developers will get the message and start providing better error messages and event reports. After all, the Berlin wall fell, didn't it? So anything is possible.
